How and why Asraya was started ?
A tribute to the nation by two individuals who visualised that "No child in this country is deprived of education and medical care".
Asraya Educational Trust is a voluntary organization born for a noble cause to primarily educate, the poor needy meritorious children of Mother India who are primary deprived of their basic rights. The progress of any country largely depends on education. The basic cause of the social disparity in the present society is believed to be the lack of education. In the process we strongly believe that the best way to contribute to the society and to the Nation is to provide these basic facilities to the meritorious children. It also looks after healthcare and general upliftment of these children and their environment. We at Asraya, are trying to teach the children through loving care and help with books, food, school uniform and all.
This is a small tribute to the Nation by two individuals who had visualized that "No child will be deprived of education and medication".
"CATCH THEM YOUNG IS THE MANTRA ADOPTED BY US".
It all began when the two friends Srinivas Eunni and Nagesh Prasad, who were deeply moved by agonies so many brothers and sisters of India in the society even after 50 years of attaining the Independence.
They had many ideas, many plans and many dreams but it was important that they had to be grounded in reality.
It is said that God helps those who help themselves. He brings in people to situations and makes opportunities pop up, which if we see His larger plans can be used for the betterment of our life and that of the society, too.
Due to lack of finance, the time was passing by but the thoughts of the two were alive. The Trust was born with a small amount. In todays comparison though it was a small sum, it was determination which made the dream come true. They did not rest or stop thinking about the future.
The organization was born as result of this provoking thought which rentlessly driven them to return to the Society / Nation whatever little they can. The connecting thread between the past, present and the future is the passion to serve and the determination to bring about a difference in the lives of the people it serves. Asraya is aware of the implications of financial constraints. It is also aware that any change that is brought about should lead to sustainable development, a development that can enrich life in all aspects. We have been constantly encouraged by Mr.Murty, Mr. Prasad, Mr. Bhaskar, Mr. Mallikarjuna rao, RamaKrishna, Mr. Raghavacharyulu, Mrs. Janaki and Mr. Murali Bulusu. We must mention our special gratitude to
Mrs. Laxmi Sudha and Mrs. Tanuja who has stood by us through thick and thin of our lives and made this dream come true. We thank all people who have given us directly or indirectly support in this NOBLE CAUSE
